The 4 countries in sub-Greater Mekong (Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia) have recently signed in Bangkok (Thailand) a memorandum on compulsory insurance of vehicles in transit. "This will help promote the development of the insurance industry," said Trinh Thanh Hoan, head of the Department of Management and Control Assurance (Vietnamese Ministry of Finance). It is a realization of the Framework Agreement for ASEAN which facilitates the transit of goods among its members.
