Car Insurance: 97% of French have a bonus

In 2008, almost two thirds of the insured (64.2% of the sample) had a 50% bonus entitlement to the maximum reduction. And overall 97% of policyholders receive a bonus car (source ffsa.fr).
How does the bonus car insurance?

The system claims bonus is to assign a coefficient from 3.50 to 0.50 to the auto insurance premium in order to emphasize the good drivers by offering them a discount. The ratio starts at 1 and decreases by 5% per year without an accident involving the driver's responsibility. You then reach the best car bonus after 13 years: the coefficient 0.50 entitling a contribution divided by two.

For drivers who cause an accident, the coefficient is increased by 25%, unless they receive a bonus 50 for at least three years the ratio will be increased in this case that second-fault accident.

Warning: If you suspend your auto insurance for 3 months or more, your bonus will not change the year of suspension. For the bonus changes, you must be insured for at least 9 months during the same policy year.

The Generali Group, founded in 1831 in Trieste, is now the 3rd player in the insurance and the first European life insurer.

In France, Generali is the second largest general insurer and is based on 8,000 people and 1,100 general agents and many brokers, advisors and independent partners. Growing rapidly since 5 years, its turnover reached 15.5 billion euros in 2007.Justify Full
